This document is a glossary of most terms that have some relationship to the211u001efield of environmental karst, as well as specific-karst terms. It includes many 211u001eforeign terms because much karst research is conducted in foreign countries and 211u001epublished using local terminology. In many instances, common environmental terms 211u001eare defined in such a way as to specifically reference karstic phenomena. The 211u001epurpose of this document is to serve as a technical guide to regional offices and 211u001ethe public in general who must read the karst literature or hold discussions with 211u001ekarst researchers.
