Algal-Bacterial Selenium Removal System for Treatment of Irrigation Drainage Water: Demonstration Facility Interim Studies. Final Report.

The interim report describes a demonstration-scale Algal-Bacterial Selenium Removal (ABSR) Facility constructed in California's San Joaquin Valley for the purposes of demonstrating the efficacy of the ABSR Technology for selenium removal from subsurface agricultural drainage water, optimizing operational parameters, and determining operational costs and engineering requirements. The information is needed prior to designing large-scale systems for control of selenium levels in the San Joaquin Valley and the Bay-Delta. The report covers activities and results that were obtained during the period January 1997-December 1998.
