The principal goal of this project was to evaluate the operational effectiveness211u001eof the CLAS system as an incident management tool to optimize incident management 211u001eoperations in the US 290 Corridor. During incident management, the CLAS system 211u001eprovides for shared turn lane assignments and incident management signal timings 211u001eat the intersections affected by the freeway mainlane incident. The incident 211u001emanagement signal timing plans were developed as part of this project to provide 211u001etime management by balancing the need to progress additional traffic along the 211u001ewestbound US 290 frontage road with the need to minimize delay along the 211u001ecorridor.
