Economic Impact Analysis of Proposed Commercial and Industrial Solid Waste211 Incineration Regulation

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is developing regulations under211u001eSections 111 and 129 of the Clean Air Act for commercial and industrial 211u001eincineration units that burn nonhazardous solid waste materials. EPA identified 211u001e122 commercial and industrial incinerators located at 112 facilities that may be 211u001eaffected by this regulation. Control measures implemented to comply with the 211u001eproposed regulation will impose regulatory costs on affected facilities in the 211u001ecommercial, industrial, and government sectors. This study evaluaties the impact 211u001e(both negative and positive) of these costs on facilities, on the parent 211u001ecompanies that own the facilities, and on the U.S. economy.
