摘要

The aim of this project was to develop a concept of a wooden multi-story211u001eapartment building, which is competitive with equivalent buildings made of other 211u001ematerials. The point of view has been that of the house owner, the investor. He 211u001eis interested not only in the investment costs but also in the operating costs as 211u001ewell as in the resale price of the building. In this research, the life span of 211u001ethe building is limited to 50 years. The wooden multi-story apartment building 211u001ehas to be not only competitive to build but especially clearly cheaper to 211u001eoperate. The Finnish statistics show that about 2/3 of the operating costs come 211u001efrom energy, management, water and annual repairs. The major components, about of 211u001ethe annual repairs are exterior surfaces, mechanical systems and interior 211u001esurfaces and structures.
