The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) in pursuant to theComprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), also known as the Superfund law, conducted a public health assessment at different hazardous waste sites. ATSDR evaluates data provided by the US EPA on exposure risk, health effect to hazardous substances and recommends public health action plans to reduce such exposure.
