Machine Control via Internet: A Holistic Approach

摘要

The purpose of this report was to find out if and how machine control via Internet is possible now and in the future. The report deals with safety critical applications i.e. to avoid harm to persons and equipment and to avoid major economical damage. The work is specifically aimed towards SMEs (Small and Medium sized Enterprises) that need support and do not have the resources for making an analysis on their own. The results of this report are general and not vendor nor application specific. The results include guidelines, comments, proposals and conclusions.
