Metropolitan Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS): 2002 Deployment Tracking Freeway Management Survey

This report is a summary of the data received from the 2002 Freeway Management Survey of the Metropolitan Deployment Tracking project. The survey was in three sections, which is reflected in the report. The first section covered core data needed for deployment tracking, analysis, and reporting. These data are updated with every survey to support tracking of deployment trends. The second and third sections covered important data needed by groups or individuals in the DOT to help in managing the national ITS program. The areas covered represent topics that are of high current interest but may not be included in subsequent surveys A total of 121 agencies were asked to complete the survey. The total number of surveys returned was 107 (88 percent response rate).
