This Annual report to the National Science Board (NSB) includes data and other information relative to the National Science Foundation (NSF or the Foundation) Merit Review Process for fiscal year (FY) 2010. In FY 2010, NSF received a total of 55,542 proposals. This is an increase of about 23% from the number of proposals received in FY 2009, and an increase of over 74% from the number of proposals received in FY 2001.
