Methods and techniques have been developed which make it practical to accomplish, in the laboratory, the necessary measurements to determine the degree and location of interfering signals in a VHF/UHF communication system. These principles were applied to a specific system. These principles were applied to a specific system employing model MAR transmitters and model RDZ receivers, with the equipments operating on the 100 primary Navy communication channels and the guard channel in the band 225 to 400 Mc. A complete cross-check of each of the 101 receiver frequencies with each of the 101 transmitter frequencies was accomplished, resulting in a total of 10201 measurements.
