Instructional films should be prepared with the characteristics of the audience clearly defined. Films may be of particular value for persons with certain mental abilities or deficiencies. This research was carried out to discover the relationship of various mental abilities to learning from films.nHigh verbal comprehension, general reasoning and spatial orientation were found to be the characteristics of superior film learners.nTraining films should be used by trainees with high scores in verbal com¬prehension, general reasoning and spatial orientation.
