THE DETERMINATION OF SCHELLING COEFFICIENTS BI DIGITAL COMPUTER TECHNIQUES INCLUDING TABULATED VALUES FOR MAGNETIC DIP ANGLES BETWEEN 0° AND 80°

A digital computer program is developed for the computa¬tion of coefficients by means of which h'-f records may be readily reduced to N-h profiles without further computational aids. Full account is taken of the earth's magnetic field, and no special layer-shapes are assumed.nTables of these coefficients are computed, valid over most of the earth except where the magnetic dip exceeds 80°. The accuracy of the coefficients and their sensitivity to the magnetic field parameters are discussed. Conclusions are drawn, from actual examples, concerning the use of the tables, and the overall accuracy which may be expected in their use.
