With the E21 Kit a protective shelter can be erected within a tent with the purpose, for example, of enabling a command post of 12 men to operate during exposure to CBR agents without the need for personal protective equipment and in the absence of the power required by the conventional collective protector. The principle of operation is to obtain exchange of respiratory gases by diffusion through panels in the wall of the shelter that prevents the entrance of CBR agents.
