Strength of Concrete in High Strength Revibrated Walls

摘要

Properly placed and adequately vibrated concrete is compact and uniform. However conditions of casting and compaction can vary with the type of structure. Previous investigations made on walls had shown that the strength of concrete in the top part was lower than the strength of concrete in the bottom part and in the control specimens. The difference in strength was found to increase with the strength level of concrete. The object of the investigations described in the report was to study the effect of revibration on the compressive strength of concrete, particularly in the top part of walls. The effect of a static pressure on the top surface of the wall during or after revibration was also studied. (Author)
