摘要

Final ellipsometry and microscope studies indicated that GMAC adsorbs heparin out of heparinized blood before interaction of the proteins and adhesion of platelets can take place. However, both on GMAC and on TDMAC, adsorbed heparin activates plasma factor XII. Most studies involved collagen. It proved possible to make films in the surface film balance at air/liquid interfaces and to transfer these films to the ellipsometer before or after plasma had been injected into the subphase and before and after compression of the films. These transfer films as well as films formed by adsorption out of solutions of collagen followed by plasma, could then be exposed to antisera. It was shown that collagen films allow the solid substrate to exert its effect upon the plasma in solution to such extent that they appear absent. On certain wettable surfaces collagen does not prevent plasma from converting its own fibrinogen deposit and allows factor XII to be adsorbed and become active, while such events do not seem to take place at the surface of collagen deposited onto certain hydrophobic interfaces.
