摘要

Adenovirus vaccine studies have included, (1) long term antigenic stability studies of vaccines prepared with types 1, 2 and 5, both aqueous, alum and lyophilized formulations; (2) karyology of WI-38 at vaccine passage levels; (3) electron microscope studies of soluble antigen vaccine components; (4) examination of all vaccine passage level seed for AAV contamination; (5) initiation of a small clinical trial in human adults utilizing type 5 vaccines; (6) evaluation of small laboratory preparations of adenovirus types 3, 4 and 7 monovalent vaccines utilizing methodology worked out for types 1, 2 and 5; (7) development of new disruption methodology for types 3, 4 and 7; and (8) the preparation of two pilot lots of adenovirus type 5 vaccine used in the initiation of DNA tracer studies which are incomplete at this time. Parainfluenza 1 and 2 were propagated in embryonated eggs and amniotic fluids were collected for the preparation of future vaccines. Stability studies on parainfluenza 1 virus vaccine containing 5% lactose + 0.5% HSA and influenza buffer stored at 4 deg C and 37 deg C are being followed by means of HA tests. (Author)
