Formulation and Application of Methoxychlor for Elm Bark Beetle Control

Methoxychlor deposits on elms sprayed with several formulations of methoxychlor by helicopter, hydraulic sprayer, or mistblower were compared using GLC assays and elm bark beetle bioassays. Hydraulic sprayers gave the heaviest and most uniform deposits. Helicopter deposits were lightest. The formulation of methoxychlor did not significantly affect the amount of deposits.
