摘要

The report is a study of the feasibility of applying numerical mapping techniques to the storage and handling of OMEGA propagation corrections. Using the techniques discussed in the report,it is possible to represent the 110,592propagation correction values of a representative area with 1377coefficients. These coefficients,not necessarily an optimum set,can be used to determine the entire set of correction values for the area. The range of maximum residuals between the observed and fitted correction values was 2to 20 cecs and the RMS residuals ranged from 1to 5 cecs. A synthesis program and the coefficients for the test area are included in the appendix.
