Application of Satellite Communication and Position Fixing Techniques to Land Mobile Systems.

摘要

The report covers a series of experiments conducted with the NASA ATS-3and ATS-1satellites. The experiments were designed to evaluate the performance of a satellite based mobile-to-base communication,tracking and data relay concept. Data were gathered as a test vehicle travelled across the U.S. The results of the project validated the potential application of geostationary satellite technology into law enforcement operations.
