Selection of DOD (Department of Defense) Military and Civilian Personnel and Contractor Employees for Assignment to Presidential Support Activities

The Directive reissues Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 5210.55, January 11, 1969, to prescribe uniform policies and procedures for the nomination, screening, selection, and continued evaluation of DoD military and civilian personnel and contractor employees assigned to or utilized in Presidential support activities; prescribe the requirement for investigations of persons nominated for such assignments; establish reporting requirements; and assign responsibilities for carrying out the provisions of the Directive.
