An Investigation of Using Derivation Reaction Gas Chromatography to Measure Anionic Water Quality Parameters.

A new analytical method has been developed which provides researchers with another way to measure orthophosphate content in aqueous samples. The reaction gas chromatographic system was capable of analyzing orthophosphate in the range from 0.25 - 5.0micrograms of P in 50 microliters of aqueous sample. Flame ionization was the most successful detector. The primary advantage of this technique was the small volume of sample required.
