Systems Analysis Needs in Electric Power Systems,Minutes of a Professional Workshop Held at University of Missouri-Columbia on September 11-13, 1973,

The workshop was scheduled to be held between the two phases of the study. Phase One consisted of guidelines for NSF to aid in the planning of the power systems analysis program. Phase Two,scheduled to begin after the workshop,will consist of guidelines for the research community to aid in the selection of topics,the preparation of proposals,and the obtaining of cooperation from utilities. The workshop set forth the following objectives: (1) to permit discussion of the Phase One report and receive additional input pertinent to the Phase Two effort; (2) to provide an opportunity for representatives of all groups interested in power systems analysis to meet and to discuss their respective interests,needs,and capabilities; (3) to discuss possible roles for each of the groups in performing and applying power systems research;and (4) to enable RANN grant recipients to describe their research programs. This report includes summaries of the ideas presented at the workshop and summaries of the discussions. Lists of the research topics considered are also included.
