There are three sections to the Trainer's Manual. Section 1 is a brief overview of learning theory, specifically, including a discussion of how adults learn. This is followed by guides for the trainer in how to set up a workshop, group exercises which can enhance training, and key elements for a successful workshop. Section 11 is related to the Permanency Planning Guide and presents an overview of the possible uses and limitations of the Guide as a tool for training, consultation, and supervision in children and youth agencies. Section 111 deals specifically with the goal planning training, including format, suggested group size and guidelines for discussion topics and group exercises. This section is designed to provide the trainer with step-by-step instructions for conducting training in goal planning. (Copyright (c) Jones and Biesecker, 1979.)
