American Indians of West South Central Region by County

The report presents previously unpublished data on the American Indian population from the 1970 Census for counties in the West South Central region with 400 or more American Indians. Detailed tables contain data on characteristics such as age, sex, marital status, relationship to head of household, families by presence of children, children ever born, place of birth, school enrollment, years of school completed, industry employed in, employment status, percent in labor force, class of worker, income of persons in 1969, income of families, income less than poverty level, workers in 1969 by weeks worked, major occupation group, urban and rural residence and housing.
