To provide an assessment of the main analytical methods used for the general measurement of organic pollution in waters and effluents, with particular reference to their application to carbonization plant effluents, in order to assist the industry with the use of the methods and the interpretation of analytical data in relation to biological effluent treatment plant control and consent conditions for discharge.
