Reproducibility Improvement for Soil and Aggregate Control Tests

Laboratory test procedures and equipment were reviewed in an effort to identify discrepancies and improve the reproducibilty of tests commonly used to evaluate soils and aggregates for construction in California. Twenty-three laboratories participated in this study by testing prepared test samples under the observation of the researchers.
