Applied Research in the Application of Microcomputer Technology to the Data Processing Needs of Small Local Governments

Results are presented of a project undertaken to determine whether the data processing needs of the small local government could be adequately handled by current state-of-the-art microcomputer systems. Three local governments--Barrow and McDuffie Counties and the City of Madison, Wisconsin--participated in the project. It was found that the microcomputer has adequate capacity and capability to serve the needs of very small local governments.
