Information-Processing Mechanisms in Primates

摘要

A variety of information processing mechanisms in primates was investigated with the view of comparing these mechanisms with comparable processes on the human level, and in birds. The ability to generalize the identity concept was one behavioral capacity present in monkeys but not in birds. Evidence was also obtained suggesting that monkeys process the identity relationship differently than birds.
