Slow Approximation with Convolution Operators

摘要

In this paper it is proved that the class B of functions beta with which the convolution operators (U sub rho) are constructed contains elements such that if f belongs to a certain class M and if (f double prime) (x) exists, the rate of approximation of f(x) by ((U sub rho)f)(x) (rho approaches infinity) is very small.
