Final Environmental Impact Statement, 120-Bed Nursing Home Care Unit and Parking Structure, Veterans Administration, Medical Center, San Francisco, California

摘要

The Veterans Administration proposes to construct a 120-bed nursing home care unit and parking structure at the San Francisco Medical Center. The VA published a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) in October 1979. A Supplemental DEIS was published in November 1981. The proposed action will not have any significant and/or adverse impacts on the natural environment. However, much controversy was generated over the parking analysis and the lack of commitment by the VA to include the parking structure as an integral part of the project. Both issues are discussed in this report.
