Optimal Real-Time Reservoir Systems Operation: Innovative Objectives and Implementation Problems

摘要

This study deals with the optimization of real-time operations of reservoir systems and the associated implementation problems of these optimization models. A new method for determining optimal real-time operations of reservoir systems using pre-emptive goal programming is proposed and applied to a four reservoir system in Kentucky. Three methods are presented to handle the nonlinearity due to the maximization of hydropower.
