Development of Low Cost Pavement Marking Materials Based on Plasticized Sulfur

This research project was undertaken to develop a practical pavement marking material at a significantly lower unit cost based on plasticized sulfur with performance equal to or better than rapid-dry traffic paint. A yellow formulation was developed and taken through pilot tests and large scale field tests in Texas and Colorado.
