Section 5(d) of the Stevenson-Wydler Act requires that the Secretary of Commerce prepare and submit to the President and Congress, within three years after the date of enactment of this Act, a report on the progress, findings, and conclusions of activities conducted pursuant to sections 5, 6, 8, 11, 12, and 13 of this Act and recommendations for possible modifications thereof. This report included reports on Commerce and technological innovation; Centers for industrial technology, grants and cooperative agreements; National Science Foundation Centers for Industrial Technology; Utilization of federal technology; National Technology Medal; Personnel exchanges; and summaries of agency reports on technology transfer activities.
