摘要

The traditional sequence of product and process development often misses the opportunity of taking advantage of new methods in production and automation. The paper describes an integrated approach that develops the product and process in parallel to integrate the latest knowledge of production methods in the product design. An example from a manufacturing company demonstrates the effect of the approach.
