摘要

The survey gives a comprehensive view on the structure and functions of thecontrol systems of intelligent mobile robots. The history of mobile robots is shortly overviewed and the general structure presented. The perception processing part includes proximity, inertial and other sensors, different kind of vision and range imaging systems and sensor fusion. Different ways to model the environment are presented. Navigation and supervision tasks are analyzed and different kinds of solutions described. Applications and future trends are forecast.
