The recommended project provides a good opportunity for a U.S. consulting firm to initiate the much needed municipal and industrial wastewater management facilities in the country and institute U.S. technology as the standard of preference for pollution control design, construction and equipment. The objectives of the Definitional Mission (DM) included meeting with those agencies and individuals that could provide information and insight into the issues and purpose of the DM. The proposed project addresses one of the principal priorities of the Municipality of Budapest -- a wastewater management master plan for the control of point sources derived from domestic and industrial discharges to the Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW) of the Municipality of Budapest.
