Design Modification for a 1989 Nissan Pickup

The upper cab structure of a 1989 Nissan pickup was carefully measured, and anFEM computer model was generated. Three design iterations of modifications to the upper cab structure of a simplified FEM model were proposed and evaluated. The report concludes that up to 30 percent improvement in roof crush strength can be
