Chetco Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS) Designation: Final Environmental Impact Statement

The final EIS provides information to support designation of an ocean dredged material disposal site (ODMDS) in the Pacific Ocean off the mouth of the Chetco River in the State of Oregon. The final designation will allow for continued deposition of sediments dredged by the Corps of Engineers to maintain the federally-authorized navigation projects at the Chetco River, Oregon and other dredged materials authorized in accordance with Section 103 of the Marine Protection, Research, and Sanctuaries Act of 1972 (MPRSA). No significant or long-term adverse environmental effects are predicted to result fromthe designation.
