A demonstration of the intercontinental dissemination of graphic meteorological data utilizing telecopiers and radio telephony

The feasibility of exchanging graphic meteorological data, such as cloud photographs, between North and South America by means of amateur radio equipment and telecopiers is demonstrated. The cost of such equipment, and the quality of the pictures obtained, compare favorably with other methods currently in use.
