摘要

Modifications of a multilevel atmospheric prediction model based on the primitive equations of motion are discussed. An explicit planetary boundary layer treatment was introduced instead of the earlier treatment of friction and heat flux at the earth surface. A water vapor conveyance equation and large scale condensation were incorporated. An initialization procedure was developed, making it possible to run the model on real data objectively analyzed at the Swedish weather bureau.
