摘要

An investigation has been conducted at Mach numbers from 1.60 to 2.87 to deter¬mine the effects of external stores on the longitudinal and lateral aerodynamic characteristics of a fighter model having a 60° delta wing and an aft horizontal tail.nThe configuration exhibited satisfactory longitudinal stability and control character¬istics with relatively little effect due to the stores. The addition of the stores increased -the minimum drag but reduced the drag due to lift so that little effect of store drag occurred above an angle of attack of about 10°. However, the addition of the stores did degrade the maximum lift-drag ratio. The results indicated substantial favorable effects on directional stability at a Mach number of 1.60 due to the addition of stores but indi¬cated essentially no beneficial effects at the higher Mach numbers.
