Interactive Creations and Modification of Chinese Characters

There is a collection of graphics subroutines named BASIC INGA available. These subroutines are used for the development of new application functions which can then be integrated into the INGA system in the EXTRA part for all additional user-defined operations. The generation and modification of Chinese characters is reported. These functions show nicely the generality of the INGA system. The first version of the Chinese Character Creator (CCC) was ready on a refresh vector display with light pen in September 1981. The onversion of the program to a raster display with locator has led to the simulation of picking by a locator which is an important new feature in the INGA system.
