Explanation of the Spectral Seasonal Variations in the Night Airglow Emissions

An explanation of spectral seasonal variations in the night airglow emissions, based on atomic and molecular physical aspects is proposed. The temperature dependent exponential part of an intensity formula is considered. Data from photometer investigations of night airglow emissions at different places and times confirm that the variations are temperature dependent. An analysis method for treating spectral line ratio variations is outlined.
