摘要

Tensile stress-strain curves at strain rates of 0.001, 10, and 1000/sec were obtained for carbon, Kevlar and glass fiber woven-reinforced polyester resin composites. The variation of modulus, tensile strength, and fracture strain with strain rate was determined. A change in the failure mode at the highest strain rates is observed for the glass but not the carbon of Kevlar reinforced composites.
