摘要

The improvement of mechanical properties (elongation to rupture, and mechanical strengths) of copper based shape memory alloys is discussed. The low mechanical properties of copper-based alloys are derived from their coarse grain size, so attempts were made to refine the grain size of the copper alloys by adding 4th and 5th alloying elements. The samples which were successful in grain refining the alloys show a great reduction in time-dependent deterioration of shape memory function and thermal fatigue properties. No solution for time-dependent deterioration is detected.
