摘要

The characterization of an epoxy system based on DGEBA prepolymer and the 1-8 diamino-p-menthane is studied. The low reactivity of the system is due to the sterically hindered amine functions. The presence of quaternary carbon atoms in the amine structure results in a thermic degradation by homolytic cleavage. When the system is modified by the addition of a reactive elastomer such as copolymer of butadiene-acrylonitrile the phase separation observed during the cure is quicker as viscosity is low and the kinetics of polycondensation is slowed down. The influence of temperature and elastomer concentration on the morphology was also studied, indicating that the presence of rubber particles favors the plastic deformation mainly by a shear flow.
