Duplicity in the Solar Neighborhood: Part 5. Spectroscopic Orbit for the Nearby Double-Lined Solar-Type Star Hr 8581

The nearby solar-type star HR 8581 is found to be a double-lined spectroscopic binary with an orbital period of 632.5 days. The mass ratio of the two components is 0.55, with a blue magnitude difference of 2.5 mag, suggesting a model consisting of a F8V + K4V pair of stars. Speckle interferometric measurements are suggested to complete the determination of the elements and of the stellar masses.
