Climatic Atlas of Seasonal Sea-Level Pressure and Sea-Ice Concentration in theHudson Bay-Baffin Bay-Labrador Sea Region, 1953-1988

The seasonal and interannual variabilities of the sea level pressure (SLP) andsea ice concentration (SIC) in the Hudson Bay region are presented, including neighboring basins and seas, for the years 1953 to 1988. The SLP data originate from the National Center for Atmospheric Research and the SIC data originate from the US Navy and various national meteorological agencies. The data are conventionally divided into four seasons and presented in map form, showing SLP and SIC together for the same year. SLP maps are drawn in contours of 2 millibars, with indication of local lows and highs. SIC maps are shaded according to the degree of ice cover, expressed in tenths.
