Planetary Instrument Definition and Development Program: 'Miniature MonochromaticImager'

The miniature monochromatic imager (MMI) development work became the basis forthe preparation of several instruments which were built and flown on the shuttle STS-39 as well as being used in ground based experiments. The following subject areas are covered: (1) applications of the ICCD to airglow and auroral measurements and (2) a panchromatic spectrograph with supporting monochromatic imagers.
