SYNTHESIS OF NETWORKS OF CASCADED COMMENSURATE TRANSMISSION LINES AND SHUNT IMAGINARY RESISTORS

A narrow-band equivalent circuit to a network of cascaded unit-length lossless transmission lines and shunt lumped lossless elements between them is obtained by replacing the lumped elements by imaginary resistors. In this preliminary report the realizability conditions to the driving point and transfer functions of this new network type are derived. In addition, different rational approximation functions to an ideal filter curve are given.
